10 Mysterious Prehistoric Sites From Around The World
This article is just a quick overview of the sites covered. There is enough information given to peak your interest into some of the lesser known Megalithic structures. There are hundreds of ancient ruin sites scattered across the world. Some of these structures are under water and some of them are only seen from the sky. There is much more to marvel over than Stonehenge or the Great Prymid. There is something to be said for the Megalithic sites around the world. The deeper you dig, the more your mind will be blown. The more questions you will start to have...

Machu Picchu
Peru
Machu Picchu is an ancient ruin site that has always intrigued me. Just like the pyramids in Egypt, this ancient site required great mathematical skills for its design and construction. A lot people do not know just how amazing Machu Picchu is. It's just as mystical as StoneHenge or the Giza Pyramid. The site is well presevered and tells a great story about the civilization that once lived there, though no one really say for sure who built Machu Picchu. It's just one, of the many ancient ruin sites that beg us to ask questions, dig deeper and think bigger.
Our ancient ancestors were far more advanced than we have allowed ourselves to realize. We'd be impressed if we built something as magnificent as Machu Picchu today.

Ta Prohm
Siem Reap Province, Cambodia
Ta Prohm is unique in the fact that the jungle is growing right on top of it. Even more interesting, the structure seems to withstand the weight of the heavy tree roots that drape the temple. The architecture is exquisite on its own, but the forest adding to the design is just breathtaking! Ta Prohm doesn't really fall into the timeframe of ancient ruins that most interest me, but the rareness of what has unfolded in Ta Prohm is worth a look. Nature and a Buddhist temple become one. It's very beautiful. This should be on your list of interesting and sacred places to see.

Puma Punku
Tiwanaku, Bolivia
Puma Punku is considered one of the most intriguing Megalithic sites on the planet. The design of the ruins, along with the stones being cut at perfect angles are impossibilities of anyone dwelling there 2000 years ago. There are even perfectly round holes in some of these blocks, as if they had power tools. The detail carved out in these blocks is just mind blowing. Puma Punku leaves more questions than it yeilds answer. How'd they do it? No one knows for sure. I believe this site is much older than we know.

Massive, Ancient Underground City
Derinkuyu, Turkey

Under Water Stonehenge
Lake Michigan, Michigan
"A group of researchers using sonar to look for shipwrecks at the bottom of Lake Michigan got quite a surprise when they found what appears to be an ancient Stonehenge-like structure 40 feet beneath the surface of the water. Some of the stones are arranged in a circle and one appears to show carvings of a mastodon. The formation could be as much as 10,000 years old, which is coincident with the post-Ice Age presence of both humans and mastodons in the area. Michigan already has petroglyph sites and standing stones." I find it very interesting that structures like this are found all over the world. Apparently, there are over 100 cities under the sea. Imagine what we'd find if we could explore the bottom of ever lake and sea.

Cradle of Ancient Civilization
Dwarka, Gulf of Cambay, India
"The ancient city of Lord Krishna was once thought to be merely a myth but ruins discovered in 2000 seem to be breathing life into the old Indian tale.
The story goes that Lord Krishna had a magnificent city which was made up of 70,000 palaces made of gold, silver, and various other precious metals. The city was prosperous however upon Lord Krishna’s death Dwarka supposedly sank into the sea.
The ruins are situated 131 feet beneath the ocean surface in the bay of modern-day Dwarka, one of the seven oldest cities in India. Acoustic studies have shown the ruins to be amazingly geometric, stunning experts. Many artefacts have been recovered from the site but perhaps none more important than one which was dated to 7500 BCE, supporting the theory that the ruins may well be the ancient Dwarka."

10 Incredible Submerged Ancient Cities
When you consider how many cities have been discovered under the sea, it makes one wonder how much of our human history has been lost? And, we have no way of knowing what other sunkin cities are still hidding, waiting to be discovered in the depths of the world's oceans. It appears there was a highly technologically adavanced world nation that once existed prior to our recorded history. A great flood came, and parts of the earth went under water, and other parts rose above the sea. There are many theories as to how, or why this occured. I'm not so interested as to why this happened, but I wonder more about how all of the wisdom, technology and knowledge of our more-advanced ancestors that was completely lost.
As more and more archaeological evidence is discovered, we have no choice but to rethink the timeline of human history. What was left after the great flood seems to be the seeds that created the humanity that is recorded, and that we have evolved into today. Almost as if we were a completely new generation of the human experience. Will we rise even futher then the greatness of our ancient ancestors? Will a great world-wide event cleanse the earth as the cycle of time peaks, and then spiral back downward , into the darkness of the Iron Age? Will there be a new generation of the human experience that will blossom from the seeds that are left behind from our Golden Age? Consider these possiblities as you explore these sunkin cities.

Girl who fell into deep hole 13,000 years ago is related to modern aboriginal people.
The Canadian Press
The skeleton is quite possibly the oldest skeleton found in the Americas. The fact that this skeleton was even found is remarkable. "Naia is one of the oldest (possibly the oldest) skeletons found in the Americas, and she has already helped to clear up one controversial aspect of New World history."
